The Refuge at Dirickson Creek is a new neighborhood which will include over 280 homes built on the water's edge in the Delaware resort area. Designed to meet the needs of young families as well as empty-nesters, the four models range in size from 2,150 square feet to 2,750 square feet. All houses include first floor master suites, flex rooms, and two-car garages. Options include sunrooms, bonus rooms, and alternative front elevations.

New house sites along the Atlantic Ocean in Delaware are almost gone. Those few being developed today are often created at minimum widths to maximize the profit of buying and developing this precious land. This site’s width of 50 foot is no exception. With setbacks, the building site becomes 35’ wide. The challenge to create an elegant 6,000 square foot beachfront home on this site, suitable for frequent entertaining, required careful consideration of the vertical building envelope as well as the frontage along the street and ocean. Because of the limited east frontage along the ocean, the design creates a western "frontage" view –a garden courtyard with a swimming pool and fountains.
